Sailing South. Wednesday, February 6
Another sea day. Deposited our Antarctica
boots in lockers. Starting to become real! Worked out in gym for first time. Felt
virtuous. More team trivia and another
win! Newcomers social.
·
The big accomplishment
today was washing 3 loads of clothes -- everything we had that was dirty.
Talked to Michael from Louisiana, and Tony Blair look alike. Later in
trip told him he looked like Tony Blair.
His response was that Blair was older.
And he had actually met Blair while playing for the 100th anniversary of
the Labour party.
·
Lunch at pool again.
·
Earlier I’d asked the
bartender about local beers. He said that they might have some stuff in the
hold and would likely get more in Falklands. Offered to send some to our
room. Waffled about when it would happen but it was there w/4 hours. Good!
·
Reception for people who
were new to Seabourn. Not interesting
·
Dinner at our own table
MJP getting to know more people -- her trivia group. I didn’t have dessert but did have 2
Kahlua’s
·
At start of day tested
our stewardess. Asked for 10 extra hangers, diet coke with caffeine
(remove the other stuff), and a 2nd floor mat for shower. All done by mid
afternoon!
·
Took 5mg ambien for bed
since the ship was rolling and shuddering and that keeps waking me up. Was able
to sleep uninterrupted from 1030 until 430. Lots of others complained
about sleeping
