Ushuaia. Feb 17

Morning in Ushuaia.  Tom pushed/encouraged me to buy more souvenirs so I ended up with an Antarctica hat, penguin pillow, penguin pens, and penguin snow globe for Noble.  Spent most of afternoon in Observation Bar watching sail away and view of Glacier Alley and enjoying Viennese tea. Formal night for dinner.

·        No rush getting up, but we’re in Ushuaia by 10am when shops start opening.  MJP gets penguin pens and a hat.
·        Roland says he’d like to talk to me later.
·        We have lunch and are largely ignored.  Finish meal with Bob and Christy from PV.  They're pleased that staff know their preference for iced tea. We can hardly get service at all, let alone someone know our preferences
·        No beer back at room.  This has become a joke.
·        Run into Nic Botha who asks how we’re doing and I launch into complaint about no obs bar service.  And how no one knows us at lunch unlike other new Seabourn people Bob & Christy.  Roland wanders over and I make sure to tell him too.  Then walk away.  At this point I don’t care about their feelings at all.
·        Short nap then obs deck with mjp. While I’m in a quiet area at mid-ship outdoors waiting for obs chair to open (by myself) Roland comes by and apologizes again.  Very shortly after Ashley does some towel bussing and asks me if i need anything.  I’m being watched -- she only busses a partial area and is a waitress not pool staff.
·        Dinner is formal.  Sommelier (or manager)  greets us with open arms when we arrive and we are given window table
·         Chef trying too much.  Makes a foie gras emulsion that mjp tells them sucks.  Turns out the 2 Chinese couples at adjacent table agree.  They are very polite -- greet us later on trip by name.  Lots of attention.  Waitress Junior from Zimbabwe tells us she is leaving tomorrow and mjp hugs her goodbye.
·        Bed early because tomorrow getting up 630 for big plane to the bus trip to Torres del Paine
